Elisabet just returned from Sao Paulo, Brazil after being a keynote speaker at a conference organized by the Alliance for Women’s Empowerment. In attendance were executives from Dow Chemical, Google, Motorola, Unilever, KPMG, Whirlpool, and Accenture.
In 2011, some companies, including Dow, formed the Alliance for the Empowerment of Women, whose goal is to promote gender diversity in leadership positions. Aligned with the Seven Principles for Empowerment of Women set up by the UN, the Alliance develops and disseminates practices that contribute to gender diversity in the corporate environment. In an event held at its headquarters in São Paulo, Dow and other companies of the Alliance proved inspiring initiatives.
